Today’s Top Home Run Prop Bets: Padres vs. Dodgers NLDS Game 5 – October 11, 2024

The LA Dodgers and San Diego Padres have done a great job on offense in the National League Division Series for the most part, hitting quite a few home runs. Every contest except Game 4 has seen more than 10 combined runs, and that game had eight.

The pitching matchup features two good hurlers, and each team will likely use every good pitcher they have no matter when they threw last or are scheduled to next. In Game 5, all hands are on deck.

On Friday, there are likely going to be a few homers hit despite there being just one game. To that end, we've got the best bets from DraftKings to look for. Yesterday, Jose Ramirez was one of our picks, and he hit a home run.

3) Mookie Betts: +450

Mookie Betts has come alive, hitting two home runs in the first inning in two consecutive games. Had it not been for a brilliant grab by Jurickson Profar, he would've gone yard in the first inning three games in a row. He's hitting well right now, and his matchup against Yu Darvish (1-0, 1.29 ERA in playoffs) is one to watch tonight. Look for Betts to continue his hot streak.

2) Fernando Tatis Jr.: +320

Fernando Tatis Jr. has four home runs in six postseason games this year. Virtually no one has been able to slow him down. He helped bash Yoshinobu Yamamoto (15.00 ERA and just one strikeout) in the series opener, and he should feel confident going into the matchup again.

Tatis loves playing against and in LA, so there's no reason to believe he's going to be contained in the winner-take-all Game 5 today.

1) Shohei Ohtani: +200

Shohei Ohtani has already homered in the postseason for the first time, and the slugger will likely not go down without a fight. It's his first appearance in the playoffs, so look for him to do everything he can against Darvish to keep the Dodgers alive. He hit 54 home runs in the regular season, more than anyone not named Aaron Judge, so he's got the best chance to go deep tonight in LA.
