This offseason is one fans will not want to miss out on as there are some exciting MLB free agents. From frontline starting pitchers to generational players, this class has it all. While there are some qualifying offers to work through, we can still take a look at which players may be the busiest this winter.

Today, we take a look at the top 10 free agents and what their potential contracts might look like.

Top 10 MLB Free Agents: Rankings and contract projections

1) Juan Soto

Juan Soto is the premiere MLB free agent in this class. He is coming off a great season with the New York Yankees where he took the pressure off Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton to be the only source of offense.

MLB.com sees him settling for a deal for 10 years, valued at around $500 million. However, a bidding war could increase those numbers.

2) Corbin Burnes

Corbin Burnes will be viewed as one of the top pitching options on the open mark. This MLB free agent is not the youngest player on the board but can still work as a frontline starter for any team that is searching. Those over at The Athletic see him signing a seven-year, $245 million deal.

3) Alex Bregman

Alex Bregman has been more than dependable at third base for the Houston Astros over the years. While his numbers are not the same as they were during the 2018/2019 season, he should have no trouble finding a new club. Many in the industry see him settling for a deal around six years, valued at $180 million.

4) Blake Snell

Blake Snell had a bit of a rocky season. He signed his deal with the San Francisco Giants late, and it took him a while to ramp it up. Despite that, he still showed signs of dominance, throwing a no-hitter in August.

Snell could still work as an ace for a team that is looking for a frontline starter over the winter. The Athletic believes his contract will be someone around the four-year, $110 million mark.

5) Pete Alonso

Pete Alonso will be one to keep an eye on this offseason. His tenure with the New York Mets could end as he is searching for a big-time contract. Those in the industry believe he could settle for a seven-year deal valued at $190 million.

6) Anthony Santander

Anthony Santander is coming off a monster season with the Baltimore Orioles. He blasted a career-high 44 home runs and is searching for a new deal as an MLB free agent. Some believe he could sign something similar to George Springer's six-year, $150 million deal.

7) Max Fried

Max Fried will be another pitcher that teams will certainly ask about. He was one of the few Atlanta Braves players not to sign long-term and has had a few impressive seasons lately. Sports Illustrated has projected his contract to be a six-year deal, valued at $180 million.

8) Jack Flaherty

Jack Flaherty is another MLB free agent who could get plenty of calls over the next few months. He was excellent this past season and could eye a deal around $121 million over six years.

9) Willy Adames

Willy Adames will be one of the top shortstop options over the winter. He hit a career-high 32 home runs this past season and could settle for a deal around $160 million for six years, according to MLB Trade Rumors.

10) Shane Bieber

Shane Bieber is an interesting MLB free agent. He was sidelined for much of the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John and will not be ready until the middle of the 2025 season. For this reason, some believe his offer will likely be somewhere around $12 million for one year.
