NBA: Top 10 Midrange Scorers Right Now

Cleveland Cavaliers v Boston Celtics
Often regarded as one of the best players, will LeBron James make our list of the top 10 midrange scorers?

The game has changed and it is still evolving and adapting to the fast pace. Now, the midrange game seems like a lost art and the frequency of mid-range shots has been decreasing. But still, in this era, there are some players who thrive from midrange, scoring primarily from there.

Although midrange shots may not seem too efficient, some players defy that logic, scoring at high percentages from there. With that being said, let's count down our top 10 best midrange scorers in the NBA right now!

Just Missed the Cut:

LaMarcus Aldridge: Aldridge has always been a volume scorer from the midrange. Playing for a team like the San Antonio Spurs, who dominate from midrange, also helps. He still is shooting barely over 40% from the midrange and despite scoring in volumes, we were not able to include him in top 10 because of that low efficiency.

Carmelo Anthony: He almost made the list only on his reputation. If this list was made last year, he would definitely have been top 10, maybe in top 5. This year, his efficiency has dropped along with his usage. Since December, he is shooting below 40% from midrange, which made him miss our list.

Anthony Davis: He was one of the best midrange players last year, but this year his efficiency is very poor from mid-range. Although with DeMarcus Cousins out for the season, he is again picking it up, that recent form was not enough to push him into our top heavily contested top 10.

Russell Westbrook: Westbrook is not an elite, efficiency wise from anywhere on the court. His animal competitiveness is what sets him apart. But with his poor efficiency and mediocre shot selection, it was tough to put him in top 10.

Victor Oladipo: He was a rather average mid-range player until last year, but this year he has definitely picked up. He is one of the better players from mid-range, but his combined stats from the last two years weren't that exceptional for it to be included in top 10.

Kristaps Porzingis: Porzingis started hot this year, but cooled off in the past few months as teams figured it out how to not let him get to his position. And with him now out injured for the remainder of the season, it won't be anytime soon for him to have a crack at this list.
