2015-16 NBA Finals: LeBron James, Kyrie Irving star as Cavs make it 3-2

Action from Game 5 of the NBA Finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers stayed in the hunt to win the 2015-16 NBA title after beating the Golden State Warriors 112-97 in Game 5 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.

The stars for the visitors were who else but  Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, who netted a staggering 41 points each, that completely broke the back of the defending champs and meant that the series will now to move Game 6 on Thursday.

Klay Thompson provided the home crowd with some cheer with 37 points but the night firmly belonged to two individuals, whose determination to ensure the wounds of last years don't deepen further, proved to be too much and it meant that the Warriors now will need to dig even more to get that second elusive title.

Reacting to the win, James said that he and his side were happy that they had another game to stay in the hunt and added that the preparations for that vital clash will begin right away.

"We're just happy we got another day. That's all we can ask for. We got another day to survive. We're going to start preparing tonight, start preparing tomorrow and whenever Game 6 is we'll be ready,” The talisman said.

Despite playing a stellar role in the win, Irving was appreciative of the performance of the team, adding that for them to trust his and James’s leadership and give it their all in all four quarters was what it was all about.

"I'm thankful, but at the same time we wouldn't be in any position without both of us putting on a performance like this. Our guys coming in and just trusting our leadership and doing it for four quarters - that's what it's about,” he said.
