3 facts about Michael Jordan that make him the undisputed GOAT in the NBA
Michael Jordan is still the greatest basketball player of all time for many despite LeBron James' recent record-breaking feat. Jordan and James will always be mentioned in any G.O.A.T. debates. James might be the first player to come close to dethroning "His Airness."
However, it would still be difficult to argue against the greatness of MJ. The Chicago Bulls legend helped make the sport of basketball become global in the 1990s. His influence on pop culture with his Jordan Brand sneakers could be unmatched.
On the court, Jordan has accomplished a lot of things. He won six NBA championships in his prime and five NBA MVPs and was the face of the league in its most important era.
So, how can Michael Jordan as the G.O.A.T. be justified? Let's take a look at some facts that prove it.
Three facts about Michael Jordan that make him undisputed GOAT in NBA
#1 Michael Jordan won ten scoring titles
LeBron James might be the NBA's all-time leading scorer, but that's because of his longevity and durability. James should be praised for breaking an unbreakable record, but he's not a better scorer than Michael Jordan.
Jordan holds the record for most scoring titles with ten. He also did it for ten consecutive full seasons, from 1987 to 1998. It should be noted that he was not in the league in 1994 after retiring and was ineligible for the scoring crown in 1995, as he returned late in the season.
MJ averaged 32.0 points in that span, with his highest scoring season coming in 1987 when he averaged 37.1 points per game. He's also the NBA's all-time leader in points per game at 30.1 points.

#2 Six NBA Finals MVPs
It's a well-known fact that Michael Jordan won six NBA championships during his legendary career. Jordan also won six NBA Finals MVPs, which is an all-time record. He averaged 33.6 points in the NBA Finals.
LeBron James is in second place with four NBA Finals MVPs. James could technically still tie or possibly break the record, but he's not doing it with the dysfunctional LA Lakers.
At the age of 38, "The King" is still among the best players in basketball. However, Father Time is slowly but surely coming after him, given the injuries he's had since joining the Lakers in 2018.
As far as the NBA Finals goes, Jordan went to six of them and won it all. James, meanwhile, went to ten, including eight straight appearances from 2011 to 2018. He has only won four, and having a losing record in the NBA Finals will always be used against him.

#3 Jordan achieved three-peat twice
Winning three straight championships is one of the most difficult things to do in basketball. It's a rare feat that has been done just five times in NBA history.
The Minneapolis Lakers did it in the 1950s; the Boston Celtics won eight straight titles from 1959 to 1966; the Chicago Bulls twice in the 1990s and the early 2000s LA Lakers.
Jordan led the Bulls to those three-peats, averaging 32.5 points per game in those six championship runs. LeBron James came close to doing it with the Miami Heat but failed. Steph Curry and Kevin Durant also failed despite teaming up from 2016 to 2019.
