3 incredible records Victor Wembanyama owns after 2nd career 10-block game

Victor Wembanyama delivered one of the most impressive individual performances of the season during the San Antonio Spurs' 114-94 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. The French superstar dominated on both ends of the court, singlehandedly paving the way for the Spurs' commanding win.

In a record-breaking night, the 7-foot-3 center showcased his incredible all-around skill set, finishing with 30 points, seven rebounds, three assists and an astonishing 10 blocks. The reigning NBA Rookie of the Year shot an efficient 8 of 16 from the field, including 4 of 8 from beyond the arc.

One of the most staggering aspects of Wembanyama's performance was that he managed to block 10 shots without committing a single foul.

With his defensive masterclass and 10-block performance, Wembanyama achieved multiple milestones, etching his name alongside basketball legends on several prestigious lists. He became only the sixth player in NBA history to record 30+ points and 10+ blocks in a single game.

Let’s take a closer look at three records Wembanyama set with this sensational performance.

3 remarkable records achieved by Victor Wembanyama

#1 1st player with 10 blocks and 4 3s

Victor Wembanyama made NBA history by becoming the first player ever to record at least 10 blocks and four made 3-pointers in a single game. Additionally, the young superstar now boasts two games with 10 or more blocks since the 2020-21 season, a feat unmatched by the rest of the league, as all other players combined have achieved this just once during the same span.

#2 1st player with 2 games with 10 blocks before turning 21

The Spurs' superstar also achieved the distinction of being the first player to log multiple games with 10 or more blocks before turning 21 since the NBA began officially tracking blocks in the 1973-74 season.

Wembanyama notched his first 10-block game earlier this year in February during the Spurs' matchup against the Toronto Raptors.

#3 62 games with at least one block

Wembanyama also set a new Spurs franchise record by recording a block in 62 consecutive games. He broke David Robinson's record, who recorded at least one block in 61 successive games.
