A triple-double is a validation of a player's all-round ability, and is one of the most eye-catching achievements in the NBA today. It requires a player to be extremely talented in all the departments; moreover, a triple-double guarantees the team the win on most occasions.

Oscar Robertson is currently at the top of the all-time triple-double leaders list with 181. From the pool of active players, Russell Westbrook is currently the leader with 104 career triple-doubles in the NBA.

This list is dominated by point guards who are usually the play makers. In this article, let us take a look at three recent triple-doubles that were registered without a single turnover.

After playing in the NBA for 14 seasons, Matt Barnes averaged 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He played on several teams and did not win an NBA championship before signing with the Golden State Warriors on 2nd March 2017, when Kevin Durant went down with an MCL injury.

Barnes spent only one season (2015-16) with the Memphis Grizzlies and averaged career-high rebounds and steals that season. He recorded his third triple-double of the season when the Grizzlies hosted the New Orleans Pelicans.

He scored 26 points on an 8-for-19 shooting, with a field-goal percentage of 42.1. He also had 11 rebounds and 10 assists on the night, and the Grizzlies ended up beating the Pelicans by 7 points.

Barnes was very effective from the long range and went 4-for-8 from downtown. The 2017 NBA champion was also perfect from the free-throw and went 6-for-6.

Lance Stephenson and JaMychal Green combined for 54 points on 21-for-35 shooting while Jrue Holiday scored a game-high 34 points for the Pelicans.
