Reigning NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown is perhaps the most underrated superstar in the NBA. He can defend at a high level and match the scoring of the best player on the opposing team. However, not including him on the roster shouldn't be as surprising.

Brown is young and has a lot of time left to represent his country at the Olympics. Moreover, it is only recently that Brown has taken his place at the center stage in the NBA. There is a high chance that he will be part of the roster very soon.

#3 Trae Young

Trae Young is one of the best point guards in the NBA. He can shoot long-distance 3-point shots and humiliate the best defenders with his killer crossovers. Despite his exploits in the NBA, Young has never been called upon for national duty in the Olympics.

#4 Zion Williamson

A healthy Zion Williamson is one of the best players in the NBA. He can defend and he can dominate the paint perhaps better than any player in the NBA. The New Orleans Pelicans star was drafted in 2019 but could not make the cut for the 2020 Olympics.

This year, he is dealing with an injury he suffered against the LA Lakers in the Play-In Tournament. Zion is just 24 years old and has enough time to make the Team USA roster in the future.

#5 Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell has been a star in the NBA since he was with the Utah Jazz. However, when it comes to the Olympics, his name hasn't been called upon yet. Despite his apparent interest in playing for the USA team for the Gold medal quest, Mitchell wasn't named in the squad

Mitchell carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to the best finish in 2024 since LeBron James' era ended in 2018. Perhaps the Cavs superstar will be in consideration for the next Olympics.
