NBA Team of the Week (Dec. 25 - Dec. 31)

Are Westbrook and Harden in our team of the week 11?
Are Harden and Westbrook in our team of the week 11?

The Christmas week was filled with a lot of exciting matches and even more exhilarating refereeing decisions too. From the Christmas Day non-calls on LeBron James to the James Harden's back-to-back charging fouls against the Boston Celtics to the obvious missed call on Giannis Antetokounmpo stepping out of bounds for the eventual game-winner against the Oklahoma City Thunder, referees were on fire the past week!

Let's talk about the game action now. We were not lacking in that part too, from Houston's meltdown against the Celtics, to Curry and Griffin's powerful comebacks, to Cleveland now losing last 4 out of 5 and ending their West trip 0-3 showing glimpses of their past problems, the week was filled with surprises!

Also, a shout out to LeBron, turning 33 and playing in his 15th season and still being one of the best players in the game.

In the midst of all that, there were few players who stood out with their performances in the week. Now with that being said, let's announce our team of the Christmas week!

#6th man- Lou Williams

Lou WIlliams
Lou Williams

Team Record: 3-0

Player Stats in the Week: 28 ppg, 4.7 apg on 50% shooting, 48% from threes,

He just doesn't want to lose the 6th man of the year award at any cost. He was on fire the entire week, also his stats converting into team wins. Just see his personal stats for the week, that is a bench player we are talking about playing more than 31 minutes per game. Let that sink in.

Also, he had a 40-point outing against the Charlotte Hornets along with 8 assists. Arguably the leader of the 6th man award till now and is also our 6th man of the week.

Other Candidates for this position this week:

Nikola Mirotic (3-1, 19.3 ppg, 6 rpg on 50.8% shooting and 45.5% from threes)

JJ Barea (4-0, 12.5 ppg, 7.8 apg on 48.8% shooting and 39% from threes)
