Loonie Walker IV is set to be the latest player to play for both the Lakers and the Celtics after signing with Boston in a one-year deal. Walker’s signing adds depth to the reigning champion as they intend to snag their second straight title next season.
Walker played for the Lakers in 2022. Playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Walker provided some spark in his then role with the Lakers, averaging 11.7 points per game.
He was crucial in that year’s playoff run as he once scored 15 points in the fourth quarter of Game 4 of the Lakers’ second-round series against the Golden State Warriors. It helped his team tie the series.
He played with the Brooklyn Nets last year in what was a forgettable season, before scoring a deal with the Celtics.
Svi Mykhailiuk
Before bouncing around the league, Svi Mykhailiuk started his NBA career with the LA Lakers in the 2018-19 season. Last year, Mykhailiuk found his way to Boston, helping the team win its most recent NBA championship.
He played 41 games last season and averaged 4.0 points and 1.2 rebounds per game for the Celtics. In his rookie year with the Lakers, he was fielded in 39 games and normed 3.3 points.
