Just over a year and a half after his spectacular 60-point farewell game, the Los Angeles Lakers announced that they will be raising the jersey of future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant to the rafters on Dec. 18 when the reigning champions Golden State Warriors come visiting.

However, this ceremony will be slightly different. Unlike many superstars of his stature that have played for the lone franchise, Bryant donned two numbers (#8, #24). Off his 20-year career, he spent ten seasons playing with either number scoring almost identical number of points.

Fellow rival Tim Duncan had his jersey retired by the San Antonio Spurs this past December, within a year of his announcing his retirement. Thus, in the wake of Bryant's jersey retirement announcement, here are six other players from the 1990's that could most probably see their jersey raised.

#6 Vince Carter

Vince Carter has had arguably the greatest 'star' to 'role player' transition this league has ever witnessed. Not to mention his durability and efficiency even at his current ripe age of 40.

He's gone from wowing crowds with superhuman dunks and plays from his Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets days to perfectly playing his small role effectively in stints with the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and the Memphis Grizzlies. He's played for six teams so far but it would most likely be the Raptors who would raise his #15.

And he's not done yet. At his age with all the mileage on his body, Carter still wants more basketball. In his 20th year in the league, he will play a crucial role of an experienced veteran on the Sacramento Kings.
