Insane Stats from the Rockets' Dominating 22-point win in Game 2

Golden State Warriors v Houston Rockets - Game Two
James Harden and Trevor Ariza

So, the Houston Rockets decided to play like they did all regular season and just like that we have a series on our hands. The league's top-seeded team handed the Golden State Warriors a 22-point drubbing at the Toyota Center to re-take the series momentum, heading into a 3-day break before Game 3 on Sunday at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Unlike Game 1, where Houston was in it for about three quarters, this one the Rockets led wire-to-wire and never let up. They kept raining three's and kept the pressure on the Warriors, this time with their role players - Trevor Ariza, PJ Tucker and Eric Gordon.

The 68 points from the trio combined with the rest of the team, including superstars Chris Paul and James Harden, took the team's points tally to 127.

Eric Gordon had 27 points, as part of those 68, which included six 3s, which broke a franchise record:

A huge role player that delivered on both ends for the Rockets was Tucker. He only recorded one steal but offensively, he had a career-night:

Now to get to the Warriors' side of things and it was quite disappointing, to say the least. They lost the plot in the first quarter itself by committing 7 turnovers and they were never really able to recover from that despite Kevin Durant, dropping 38 points for the night.

Unfortunately, for Golden State, he was the only that got it going. Only one other player put up digit points and that was Stephen Curry with 16.

Although they shot 45.3% from the field, as a team, the Warriors shot poorly from long distance - 9-of-30 (30%). They put 105 points but their offense just seemed off, only assisting 21 times on their 39 field goal attempts (53.8%). Not firing on offense is one thing but the Warriors struggled on defense too, letting up 127 points for a 22-point loss, their 4th worst under Steve Kerr.

Stephen Curry is a huge part of the team's offense. When he couldn't find it going, you knew it was going to be a long night. He did put up 16 points but it came with him making only 1 three-pointer (1-of-7).
