Future Outlook for Blake Griffin

While he is far from the superstar he once was, there will continue to be a place for Blake Griffin in the NBA for just about as long as he wants to play.

He has made some notable adjustments to his game to extend his career, such as cutting back on his high-flying dunk attempts and becoming a more effective perimeter shooter.

Griffin attempted a total of just 155 three-point attempts throughout his first six seasons in the NBA, but has developed in this area in his later years. During his first full season in Detroit in 2018-19, he attempted an impressive 522 three-point attempts while connecting at a solid 36.2% rate.

He has continued down the career arc of becoming a stretch big man at his next stop with the Brooklyn Nets and now the Celtics. While he is not a player that is counted on for high minutes on a nightly basis, Griffin has proven capable when his name has been called.
