Boston Celtics pegged as the “Best team in the NBA” by Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has high praise for the Boston Celtics before their meeting on Saturday night. He admitted they are the best team in the league right now.
The Golden State were prepping to square off against the Celtics for the first time since the 2022 NBA Finals. They were responsible for denying the Celtics their chance of winning championship No. 18.
Speaking with Damon and Ratto on 95.7 The Game, Kerr talked about several topics, including the Celtics. He stated that they are the best team in the league right now, and lauded the addition of Malcolm Brogdon during the offseason.

"They're playing at a really high level. I think the addition of Malcolm Brogdon was enormous for them. He's such a good player and a perfect fit for them."
After going on about how Brogdon fits with the team, he continued:
"They just have a ton of continuity, and they're hungry. They lost in the finals last year so they're hungry and got a lot to play for. ... They've been knocking on the door for a while and this is definitely their best team. And they're by far the best team in the NBA right now."
Despite the Warriors' head coach's high praise and respect, they took care of business when they took the court. They easily won the game, 123-107.
The Warriors' defense, which is their calling card, was instrumental in stifling the Celtics' offense. The C's were averaging 120 points per game entering that game.

Can the Golden State Warriors defend their title?
The Dubs have been the most successful franchise in the last decade. In the last eight years, they have reached the NBA Finals six times and won four championships.
Coming into the 2022-23 season, the Warriors were one of the favorites to hoist the 2023 Larry O'Brien trophy. However, they have not looked like champions thus far.
The Dubs have had a rough start so far, and blame has been thrown around. They are ranked eighth in the Western Conference, having won only 14 of their first 27 games.
James Wiseman, who many looked forward to his return, has not performed up to expectations. The big man has been sent to play for the team's G-League unit.
The season still has a lot of action left. If the Dubs reach the playoffs, they will undoubtedly be one of the teams to watch. When healthy, the Warriors have always been a postseason threat.
