Brandon Clarke Injury: Which injury has side-lined Memphis Grizzlies forward for remaining season and when can he return?
After suffering a non-contact injury Friday night, Brandon Clarke is getting shut down for the rest of the season. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that he has suffered a torn achillies that will cause him to miss extended time.
Brandon Clarke suffered the injury while attempting free-throws. He went to go chase down a rebound and instantly began grabbing for the back of his leg.
Clarke, 26, was in the midst of his fourth season with the Grizzlies. In 56 games this year, he averaged 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
This is a devastating blow for the Grizzlies as they prepare for the postseason. Clarke was a key rotational piece and solidified Memphis' frontcourt depth behind Steven Adams and Jaren Jackson Jr.
