Clevaland Cavaliers - Golden State Warriors NBA Finals schedule

Stephen Curry and LeBron James.

Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals in Game 5 with a final score of 104-90 to help the franchise reach its first NBA Finals since they won the championship way back in 1975. Coming off a tough series with the Memphis Grizzlies, league MVP Stephen Curry led by example against Houston averaging 32.5 points, 5.5 assists on an effective field goal percentage of 57%.

Meanwhile in the East, the Cleveland Cavaliers made easy work of the Conference leading Atlanta Hawks, sweeping the Conference Finals. LeBron James had an inhuman effort, playing through multiple niggles and injuries to lead his team to the Finals with outstanding averages during the Conference Finals of 30.3 points, 11 rebounds and 9.3 assists. James now makes it to his fifth consecutive NBA Finals appearance, he and James Jones are the only non-Celtics player to achieve this feat.

The 2015 NBA Finals will be the first instance in NBA history (other than the first season of the league) that two rookie head coaches in Steve Kerr and David Blatt have led their team to the final round of the NBA Championships.
