Chris Bosh could be ruled out for the season with possible blood clots in lungs
According to the Miami Hearld, two time NBA Champion Chris Bosh could be out for the rest of the season, if blood clots are found out in his lungs. Bosh is coming off an exciting All-Star Weekend, where he won his third Degree Shooting Stars Championship, along with Dominique Wilkins and Swin Cash. He is also coming off a 11 minute All-Star Game, where he recorded 10 points and three rebounds. Here is the section of the Miami Herald that reported the news:
Bosh was admitted to a Miami-area hospital Thursday after meeting with a doctor. The Heat’s power forward underwent initial tests that proved inconclusive, according to the Heat. The fear is that Bosh could have blood clots on his lungs. If there is a pulmonary embolus, or multiple clots, then Bosh would be out for the remainder of the season, and possibly longer, while being treated with blood thinners for pulmonary embolism.

Bosh, 30, hasn’t felt well since earlier in the All-Star break, according [to teammate Dwyane] Wade, who traveled to Haiti with Bosh on Monday during Carnival. Bosh and Wade were also together in New York for the All-Star Game.
After the departure of LeBron James from the Heat to sign with the home state franchise the Cleveland Cavaliers, Bosh became the corner stone of the franchise given Wade’s health status. The team quickly signed the All-Star to a five year $ 118 million contract this past summer hoping to share the success they did in the previous four years.
Bosh joins a host of players like Mirza Teletovic of the Brooklyn Nets [pulmonary embolism], Andersen Varejao of the Cleveland Cavaliers [torn Achilles] who are being ruled out for the season even before the month of March has begun. Let’s hope Commissioner Adam Silver’s plan to bring change in the schedule comes before next season.
