While discussing Kobe Bryant's recent comments about the Golden State Warriors impending decline, NBA analyst Chris Broussard weighed in with his current thoughts on the state of LeBron James' Los Angeles Lakers team. During an appearance on 'Undisputed', with Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless, Broussard stated:

This is not a Championship team. They can be good but they can't be a Championship team. We know the formula for LeBron to win a Championship. It's to have a second superstar who can go and get his own stuff... But unless the Lakers get that second guy, they are not winning this Championship

Broussard has not seen enough from the Lakers to suggest that they can end the Warriors recent dominance, although the team currently sit an impressive 5th in the Western Conference standings, winning 7 of their last 10 games. Despite the analyst's belief that the Lakers can't compete for the Warriors, Broussard did go on to state that the Lakers could reach the Conference Finals if they qualify as the second seeds:

But I do think they have as good as shot as anybody else in the West of getting the the Conference finals. If they can avoid Golden State in the early rounds, I would pick them over Denver, and LeBron should be the difference

Broussard seems to share the same opinion as many NBA analysts, who believe the Lakers need to add a second All-Star in order to compete this season. The franchise has been linked with Bradley Beal and Kemba Walker, although both deals currently look unlikely.
