Courtney Lee scores an amazing point to clinch the match for Memphis Grizzlies

Courtney Lee

The Memphis Grizzlies entered their matchup with the Sacramento Kings with a season record of 7-1. They looked on course to not only lose their second game of the season, but also their first home loss in 17 games dating back to last season. The Kings had outscored them by 22 in the first quarter of the game.

However Memphis kept chipping at the lead and were finally within one point, courtesy of a furious 35-19 rally in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, down by one they had only 0.3 seconds to win the game. As per the Trent Tucker rule, 0.3 seconds is the minimum time required for a player to get a shot off, if the time remaining is less than that then the only valied field goal would be a rebound tip in or directly dunking the ball.

Courtney Lee showed perfectly how accurate this rule with this amazing game winner that takes the Grizzlies uneaten home streak to 18 games and their season record to a league best 8-1.
