The Dallas Mavericks last reached the playoffs in the 2016-17 season, but the franchise looks to be heading in the right direction after beginning the 2019-20 season with an 11-6 record.

Luka Doncic's incredible form has fueled Dallas' great start to the campaign, and with the likes of the San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, and New Orleans Pelicans all struggling for form, it appears that the Mavericks are set for a return to the postseason.

However, the current roster may not have enough quality to overcome one of the NBA's elite teams in a seven-game series. The Mavs front office does, however, remain ambitious, and with incomings and outgoings likely over the next few months, here we will take a look at all the latest Dallas rumors you need to know.

The Golden State Warriors sent Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies during the offseason as they scrambled to create enough cap space to complete a deal for D'Angelo Russell. However, at 35, Iguodala doesn't fit with Memphis' ongoing rebuild, and the organization is actively looking to offload the final year of his $17 million contract.

Due to Iguodala's age, it had been speculated that the Grizzlies would eventually be forced to agree to a buyout, although ESPN's Brian Windhorst is reporting that the Mavs could make a trade offer in the coming weeks:

Executives believe that the Mavericks are a team to watch when it comes to the Andre Iguodala landing spot. If the Mavericks get serious about this and they want to boost themselves on the defensive end that's a place they can go.

During the 2018-19 season, Iguodala averaged 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. However, his numbers jumped during the postseason as he averaged 9.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists over 21 appearances.
