Family comes first for in-demand NBA free-agent LeBron James

NBA heavyweights may be courting LeBron James after he has turned free-agent, but for him family always comes first. The 29-year-old is on vacation and posted a picture on Instagram with his family.

After Miami Heat lost the NBA finals to San Antonio Spurs, James opted to be a free agent. He has signed off his remaining two-year deal with Heat, worth £12.3million-a-year. He is now being wooed by several NBA clubs who are ready to meet his wage demands.

According to reports, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers have had meetings with LeBron's agent Rich Paul. James has reportedly made his suitors clear that he would accept a contract that has a maximun value of  US $20.7 million and in which the length of the contract would be negotiable.

Suns owner Robert Sarver has publicly admitted his pursuit of LeBron. "We are in a good position," Sarver told The Arizona Republic. "We have a lot to offer, too, with the depth of our roster compared to some of the other teams. We think we have a favorable opportunity, but obviously he'll make his decision when he wants to make it. He's a smart player and a smart businessman. He'll look at the facts and make a decision."

But for now, James is focussing on spending time with family. He hasn't revealed the locations of his vacation schedule yet, but pictures shows the forward on beaches, and on a cruiser teaching his little son to fish.

Whoever may be the final one to seal LeBron's signature, is bound to get a great deal. The 4-time NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP), was an instrumental figure while at Miami Heat, leading them to succesive NBA titles in 2012 and 2013.

James has NBA heavyweights lining up for his signature, and are ready to slash the big bucks on him. No doubt that Forbes magazine recently listed LeBron as the highest rated athlete in the 'World's Most Powerful Celebrities' list. The Ohio-born forward walks in at 2nd in the list, just behind pop queen Beyonce.
