Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson's father watched Raw instead of his son's playoff game

Many parents are excited to watch their kids succeed in sports, but it can be difficult to watch a child perform when the stakes are high — like Game 7 of the NBA Western Conference Finals. That’s what happened to Mychal Thompson, father of Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson, who revealed in an interview with beat reporter Diamond Leung that he was so nervous about the outcome of the game that he watched Monday Night Raw instead!

The elder Thompson is a former NBA star who was the first pick in the 1978 NBA Draft and a two-time champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, so we can surely understand the jitters he must have felt for his son and the Warriors.
