Golden State Warriors vs Miami Heat preview

The Warriors have simply been prolific in Summer League. After winning the California Classic undefeated, they have extended their run into the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas as well. They have defeated the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and OKC Thunder so far. In the most recent two games, they rested their main players and yet won comfortably.

If Golden State has been great, so has been Miami in Las Vegas. The Heat’s wins have been almost as dominant as the Warriors’. They have so far defeated the Boston Celtics, Thunder, Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors. Sunday’s matchup will decide where the two teams finish in the final standings.

Golden State Warriors vs Miami Heat starting lineups

The Warriors rested their key players in the past two games. With no clarity yet if Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis will feature in the Summer League again, it’s safe to assume Golden State will start the same five players as the last game:

PG: Pat Spencer SG: Yuri Collins SF: Daeqwon Plowden PF: Jackson Rowe C: Roman Sorkin

Golden State’s key contributors off of the bench should be Quinten Post, Ethan Thompson, Kevin Knox and Donta Scott.

The Heat should stick with their most recent Starting 5 as well:

PG: Josh Christopher SG: Isaiah Stevens SF: Pelle Larsson PF: Cole Swider C: Kel’el Ware

Miami’s main bench players should be Zyon Pullin, Warren Washington, Alondes Williams, JC Butler and Caleb Daniels.

Editor's note: The odds could change close to the game. The odds listed were as per available information at the time of writing.

Golden State Warriors vs Miami Heat prediction

This should be a close game that will arguably get separation only in the final quarter. But going by Golden State’s domination in Summer League, it should be considered the favorite to win the game. And if Podziemski and Jackson-Davis do play, it could prove to be an easy win for the Warriors.
