LA Lakers center Christian Wood and his ex-girlfriend Yasmine Lopez put their differences aside to celebrate their son Kobe's first birthday on Sunday. Both Wood and Lopez shared snaps of Kobe's ocean-themed birthday party on their Instagram.
"Happy 1st birthday to my son Kobe, daddy loves you," Wood captioned one of his IG stories.
This comes a couple months after Christian Wood was awarded a three-year restraining order against Yasmine Lopez and sole custody of their child, Kobe, in April.
This was in response to Wood's claim that Lopez showed up at his LA house on Feb. 23 along with a group of her friends, climbed his fence and vandalized his car by making deep scratches all over.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, a neighbor rang the police about a possible intruder in Wood's house after which Lopez was arrested at the scene.
Christian Wood also claimed that he was met with aggression when he went over to the home of Lopez's friend to pick up their son after police had instructed him to do so. The LA Lakers center claimed that the friend refused to give him his son Kobe and made allegations against him and misrepresented “the facts to the media to gain favor.”
Christian Wood's ex-girlfriend Yasmine Lopez doubles down on assault allegations after restraining order
After Christian Wood was granted the restraining order, Yasmine Lopez argued that she was never properly served a notice of the hearing and even claimed to have been assaulted by Wood.
As per RadarOnline's Ryan Naumann, the Instagram influencer also pointed to Wood's alleged violent nature as she requested the restraining order and custody to be removed.
"Christian has a history of being violent and flying into a rage," Lopez said. "During our relationship, he has yelled and screamed at me, called me awful names and violently shoved, pushed and hit me on numerous occasions.”
Yasmine Lopez also reportedly filed for a Domestic Violence restraining order after the court ruled in Christian Wood's favor. Wood denied all the domestic violence allegations made against him and his attorney said that Lopez was using the claims as an attempt at revenge over losing custody.
