Boomer is the official mascot for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. He is known for his dance moves, energy and crowd-engaging acts during timeouts and breaks. Besides representing the Pacers, Boomer also performs at special events organized by the NBA.

Boomer is a 6 feet tall energetic cat, who is sometimes also referred to as the “Pacers Panther.” He likes to fire up crowds with his dance moves and has been selected for numerous NBA All-Star Games. He has also performed with Bowser, the former mascot for the Indiana Pacers. Bowser retired in the 2009-2010 season after 8 years of service.

The Boomer is a furry blue creature with a furred white beard. He dons the yellow and blue jersey of the Indiana Pacers and wears a blue and red baseball cap. He has a blue face and golden hair. He is one of the most entertaining mascots in the league who wears the # 00 jersey.

According to NBAmascots.com, Boomer has been played by Chris Widener since 2008. Widener is a passionate Pacers fan and a professional mascot performer. While most NBA mascot salaries are kept confidential, the average salary for NBA mascots is between $25,000 - $50,000 per annum.

The other versions of Boomer are Mini-Boomer, who is an offspring of Boomer, and a more youthful but small version of Boomer. Then there is the Pacers Power Pack, a group of men who perform slam dunks with Boomer with the help of a trampoline during the break. The Mini-Boomer also goes by the name Boomer Jr. Buster.

The other mascot for the Indiana Pacers is Buster, who is a friendly orange-colored dragon who is often seen playing and interacting with the fans.
