Is Anthony Davis playing tonight against Toronto Raptors? Latest on Lakers superstar's status explored (Nov. 10)
The LA Lakers will cross swords against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday and Anthony Davis is likely to suit up for the Purple and Gold. The nine-time NBA All-Star has been managing a lingering left foot injury since last season and has already missed one game this year.
Davis aggravated the injury during the Lakers' 115-103 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Monday, causing him to sit out the following game against the Memphis Grizzlies, which the Lakers lost 131-114 without him.
He returned to action in the Lakers' recent 116-106 home victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, making an immediate impact for JJ Redick's squad.
The former New Orleans Pelicans star has had a strong start to the season, currently leading the league in scoring with 32.4 points per game. Davis is also averaging 11 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.1 blocks per game.

Anthony Davis playing through pain
After playing a key role in the Lakers' win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Anthony Davis admitted that his left foot continued to bother him. The Lakers superstar stated that he is doing his best to manage the injury in order to remain available for his team.
“It hurts, definitely bothering me, but I’ll figure it out," Davis told reporters, as quoted by the Lakers reporter Mike Trudell on X (formerly Twitter).
"Getting it loose enough to go out there and play, and try to manage it throughout the course of the game so it doesn’t tighten up. It felt good for the most part … off days are the most crucial to get it feeling good for game day."
Davis logged 35 minutes against the Sixers, narrowly missing a double-double by just one rebound. The 6-foot-10 center tallied 31 points, nine rebounds, one assist and four blocks. He shot an efficient 11 of 20 from the field, including 2 of 3 from beyond the arc.
