Is Zach LaVine playing tonight for the Bulls? Exploring 2x NBA All-Star's availability vs Cavaliers

Zach LaVine is available to play for the Chicago Bulls as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday for their first preseason game ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season.

The two-time NBA All-Star prematurely concluded his 2023-24 NBA campaign due to a right foot injury that required a season-ending surgery in February. At that time, he was listed out for four-to-six months.

LaVine averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 45.2% from the field and 34.9% from beyond the arc. He dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season, resulting in him playing only 25 games in his previous campaign.

Since then, LaVine has had sufficient time to fully recover as he looks to bounce back to NBA stardom.

Zach LaVine ready to reestablish himself as a star for Chicago Bulls

Coming off an injury-riddled year and trade rumors, LaVine is eager to reestablish his reputation as a dominant player in the NBA. During the Bulls' media day last week, LaVine shared his thoughts.

“The NBA is a ‘what have you done for me lately?’ league,” LaVine said last week. “I think some guys get a pass that some other guys don’t. I don’t think I have to reintroduce myself. I think everybody in the NBA knows who I am and what I do. It’s just getting back to who I am.”

Following his long offseason, LaVine shared his excitement to start his 11th season in the league. He shared a post on Instagram last week with snaps of him suited up in his gear along with star teammate Lonzo Ball.

"Year 11" he captioned the post.
