Ja Morant's baby mama KK Dixon proudly shares glimpses of daughter Kaari's multi-sport prospects
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant's baby mama KK Dixon has shared glimpses of their daughter Kaari trying her hand at different sports. Dixon took to Instagram to share a video of Kaari on the tennis court and another one of her playing baseball.
KK Dixon and Ja Morant welcomed Kaari in August 2019, just under two months after Morant was drafted second overall by the Memphis Grizzlies. The NBA star met Dixon as a college freshman while attending Murray State University in Kentucky, and the pair started dating in 2017. They made their relationship official in 2018 but reportedly split in January 2023.
Ja Morant and KK Dixon share joint custody of their daughter. Kaari lives with her mom and Dixon recently shared a post on Instagram with videos of her time with their daughter with a heartwarming caption.
"So thankful for the life God has created for us .. truly always works out 🤍 being a mom has healed me in so many ways 🤍 I can't wait to continue making more memories with my baby girl," Dixon captioned her post.
Morant and Dixon also manage a joint Instagram account dedicated to their daughter which showcases various moments of her childhood.
Ja Morant's daughter Kaari seemingly has interest in basketball too
Ja Morant's daughter Kaari seemingly has an interest in basketball, too. She frequently attends his games and has even adorably trash-talked her mother, KK Dixon, once. A video of Kaari and her mom shooting hoops for fun indoors went viral in December last year.
Kaari scored over her mom, flexed at the camera, and boasted about her skills as Dixon hilariously looked on. Five-year-old Kaari may be learning a thing or two from her dad, who is renowned for being an entertainer in the NBA with his elite skills and trash-talking.
Morant's pro career started months after his daughter was born on August 7, 2019. He considers her his motivation to do well on the court, especially when she's on the sidelines watching him in action.
