Jalen Brunson's wife Ali Marks shared a post on Instagram on their first wedding anniversary on Monday. Ali shared snaps of their wedding last year and coupled it with a heartwarming wish for the New York Knicks.
"Feeling so loved & blessed today, tomorrow, forever and always 🤍 the best day of my life ~ happy anniversary @jalenbrunson1," Ali captioned the post.
Marks' post received love from the partners of various NBA stars, including Brunson's teammate Julius Randle's wife, Kendra Randle, and Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend, Jade Jones.
"❤️❤️" Kendra commented on the post.
"so in love 💕 happy anniversary you two!" Jones commented on the post.
Ali Marks and Jalen Brunson met at high school and started dating in October 2013. Brunson proposed to Marks in September 2022. The NBA All-Star asked Marks to be his wife on the basketball court of their high school gym with flowers and candles decorated in a heart shape.
The couple got married on July 29, 2023, in a luxurious ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago.
“She’s always been by my side and I’m lucky to have her,” Brunson told PEOPLE. “I’m excited to celebrate this special milestone with all of our closest friends and family, who have been so supportive over the many years of our relationship."
Ali Marks is a physical therapist and received her doctorate in physical therapy in 2021 from Northwestern University.
Jalen Brunson's wife Ali Marks shows love for Knicks star and team after NBA Playoff exit
Following the New York Knicks' Game 7 loss against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals, Ali Marks showed love for her husband and the team.
"So, so many reasons to be proud this season. New York Forever,” Marks captioned her Instagram story.
Marks' message resonated with fans and players alike as Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks' journey in the season was inspirational. Brunson averaged 28.7 points in the regular season and 32.4 points in the playoffs.
Ahead of next season, Brunson took one for the team and agreed to a four-year, $156.5 million extension, which is $113 million less guaranteed money than what he could have received had he waited until next year's free agency. The move has given the franchise the financial flexibility to sign players required to help it clinch an NBA title soon.
