10-time NBA All-Star James Harden is one of the best scorers in NBA history. He was drafted third overall by the OKC Thunder in the 2009 draft and currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Also known as “The Beard,” Harden was named on NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. He is a three-time NBA scoring champion, who can score from anywhere on the floor. His step-back is the most famous amongst all his moves.

Harden has also represented the USA’s men’s basketball team in the 2012 London Olympics and 2014 World Cup, where the team snagged gold medals.

James Harden’s current contract with the Philadelphia 76ers is a two-year $68.6 million deal which runs through the 2023/24 season. He will become an unrestricted free agent in 2024. Although, the details regarding any change after his trade to the Los Angeles Clippers remains to be disclosed.

Over the years Harden has signed several key contracts with various teams. His rookie contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder was a 4-year deal worth $17,835,366. He then signed a 5-year contract worth $78,782,188 with the Houston Rockets in 2013. In 2016, however, he signed a new 4-year deal with the Rockets worth $117,964,846, and followed that up with another 4-year deal with the same team in 2019 worth a staggering $171,131,520.

James Harden attended the University of Arizona for his college basketball and played there for two seasons. In his freshman season with the team, he averaged 17.8 points and helped the team to finish in fifth place in the Pac-10 Conference. He was named to the All-Freshman First Team.

In his sophomore season, Harden averaged 20.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. He won the Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Year award. Following this season, he declared for the 2009 NBA Draft.
