Korver ties 3-point record to help Hawks win
Washington, Dec 5 (IANS) Atlanta Hawks shooter Kyle Korver tied the NBA record of hitting at least a three-pointer in 89 consecutive games, helping the Hawks beat the Los Angeles Clippers 107-97 on home court.
“I’m glad it’s done. It was a long period of time. I think the happiest person was probably my wife. I was just not fun to be around the last five days at the house,” said Korver, who had missed the last four games after a rib injury, reports Xinhua.
Korver got a personal season-best 23 points through the game, including six three-pointers. Paul Millsap had a team-high of 25 points while Al Horford added 21.
Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 24 points, Chris Paul had 19 points and 11 assists.
