"Kyrie gonna watch from his couch"- NBA fans applaud the Nets as the clinch the sixth seed in the East despite trading Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving

The Brooklyn Nets will make the playoffs this season. They clitched the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, despite many fans expecting them to collapse after Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant left the team.

While Durant has been able to win a few games with the Phoenix Suns, Irving's tenure with the Dallas Mavericks has been nothing but awful. His former team will make the playoffs and Dallas likely won't, which must be heartbreaking.

With a victory over the Orlando Magic on Friday night, the Brooklyn Nets secured a playoff spot. They may not be as great as they were with Durant and Irving, but they've fought well and can achieve great results.

Brooklyn Nets will likely play against the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs

The Brooklyn Nets clinched the sixth seed in the East with their latest victory, meaning they'll likely face the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round. While stopping Joel Embiid and his squad will be tough, the Nets could win a couple of games.

Many Nets fans celebrated their regular-season success, but some were also happy because Kyrie Irving will likely miss the playoffs. Considering how awful the Dallas Mavericks have been since the trade deadline, the point guard will likely watch the playoffs from home.

Many Twitter users called Irving a loser for not advancing to the playoffs.

HEAT LOST?? NETS CLINCHED A PLAYOFF SPOT & WHERE ARE THE MAVS?? LMFAOOOO FUCKING LOSER @KYRIEIRVING

Mikal Bridges, who has been fantastic in a Brooklyn Nets jersey, was drafted by the 76ers.

The Sixers are one of the best teams in the East, yet some basketball fans believe the Nets could sweep them. Impossible is nothing!

@BleacherReport They sweeping Sixers 😭🤣 and Im here for it

Others, however, think that the Brooklyn Nets are destined for a first-round exit.

@BleacherReport Lmaooo they 1st round exits

Not only were Irving and Durant traded before the trade deadline, but the Nets were also without Ben Simmons for a big part of the season.

@BleacherReport Did it without KD, Kyrie, and Ben. 🔥

Meanwhile Luka can’t even make the play-in with a superteam. 🤔

Some fans believe that Brooklyn won the Kevin Durant trade, not the Phoenix Suns.

@BleacherReport Nets fleeced Suns
@BleacherReport Looks like they don’t need KD and Kyrie! Looks like the Nets won that trade!

The Dallas Mavericks will have to figure things out next season. They were fourth in the West at the trade deadline, yet have struggled to win games with Irving.

@BleacherReport Meanwhile, in Dallas…. https://t.co/32BFfy1DdN

Some fans have already started with conspiracy theories as they believe that the NBA will let the Sixers win the series.

@BleacherReport Too bad the @NBA is gonna INTENTIONALLY cheat the @BrooklynNets against Philly. The over/under for Embiid FTA's per game is set at 19.5.

Are the Nets better without Irving and Durant? Some fans certainly think so!

@BleacherReport better without Kyrie and Kd

While the Philadelphia 76ers are favorites to win the series, it's not smart to count out the Nets. They've played amazing basketball and Mikal Bridges has been on fire.
