Lakers' Starting Lineup: Los Angeles Lakers' predicted starting lineup against the Minnesota Timberwolves
The Los Angeles Lakers are struggling for consistency in recent games and have been very unfortunate with a lot of injuries. The Lakers are now 5-9 without their superstar, LeBron James and James is again going to miss the encounter against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rajon Rondo is a game-time decision but considering the injury to Lonzo Ball, he might be given the nod to start this game.
The Lakers young core fought valiantly in the win against the Thunder and a tough overtime loss against the Rockets but they were totally blown out by the Golden State Warriors.
Kyle Kuzma has been the leading scorer for the Lakers in the absence of LeBron James. He has been having scoring games but needs to be consistent with his outside shooting. Kuzma scored 41 points against Pistons and twice scored 32 points for the Lakers against the Thunder and the Rockets. He will again be expected to lead the Lakers offense.
Ivica Zubac has emerged as a surprise offensive weapon for the Lakers. He has given some great offensive minutes to the Lakers. His great touch around the basket and his very good free throw shooting have helped the Lakers in crunch moments. The Lakers currently have a 25-23 record and are the 9th ranked team in the NBA.
The Timberwolves are no pushovers. They recently won games against the Phoenix Suns. Derrick Rose and Karl-Anthony Towns look to be in great form. The Timberwolves are currently the 11th ranked team in the Western Conference playoff standings and have a 23-24 record. These two sides have already met twice this season with both teams getting victories on their home court.
Here is the predicted starting line up for the Los Angeles Lakers:
Rajon Rondo (PG), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (SG), Brandon Ingram (SF), Kyle Kuzma (PF), Tyson Chandler (C).
