Listing Boston Celtics' NBA 2K25 ratings for all players ft. Jaylen Brown and more
With the upcoming release of NBA 2K25 on Sept. 6, the popular video game franchise has released several player ratings, including the roster of the Boston Celtics. The Boston squad is coming off their 18th championship and several players on the roster have received a much-deserved increase in their ratings.
NBA 2K ratings are usually an indicator for basketball fans of the growth of certain players over the years. While some ratings remain stagnant, others are rewarded for the work they put into betterment of their craft. For Celtics fans, there is anticipation to see how much the ratings have changed this time around.
Jayson Tatum remains the top-rated player on the team with a 96 overall rating, up from 95 overall in NBA 2K24. His three-point rating is tied with Sam Hauser as the highest-rated at 87 overall, while his dunk rating is 89.
Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown is rated 93 overall, which is a huge increase from his previous rating of 90. His three-paint rating is set at 85, and his dunk rating matches Tatum at 89.
Aside from two players rated 90-plus, the Boston Celtics have four players with rations of 80 or above. Their starting five remains one of the most stacked and talented lineups in the league, and their bench unit is also strong. From Payton Pritchard to Sam Hauser, the team is further complemented with the inclusion of backup big men Xavier Tillman and Luke Kornet.
The second unit is also led by the veteran leadership of Al Horford, who played significant minutes at the starting center spot when Kristaps Porzingis was out with a dislocated tendon in his left ankle.

Coming after an NBA title usually results in confidence to come out even stronger for the next season. With most of their championship roster remaining intact, the Celtics could replicate last season's success for a possible back-to-back ring journey.
They finished last season with the best record in the league at a 64-18 record. They had the best offensive rating at 122.2 and the number-two ranked defensive rating at 110.6. Their incredible two-way dominance was the most evident in their playoff run as they only lost three games en route to their championship finish.
However, this upcoming season presents more challenges for the squad to overcome, starting in their own conference. The New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers have made excellent additions to their rosters from Mikal Bridges to Paul George.
The Western Conference remains stacked as ever from the continuous rise of OKC Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks adding Klay Thompson alongside Luka Doncic.
With the Jays duo finally delivering on their title promise to the city of Boston, they can continue to strengthen their legacies with another trophy this coming season.
