Mavs started the game by hitting four of their first five shots. Nowitzki, who recently became the ninth all-time leading scorer, scored seven of the first 14 points for Dallas. The reigning Rookie of the Year entered the game at the 6:42 mark of the first quarter and scored a dunk few seconds later. First quarter ended with a 28-10 score, marking the largest lead in the Mavericks History after the first quarter.

The Mavs continued to dominate in the second quarter as they led 73-29 entering the dugout. The 44-point margin is also set to be the largest lead in a half in the franchise history. By the mid-point of the third quarter, the game was all but over. After their comeback effort against Sacramento, all Mavericks players have scored in the game and all but Jae Crowder had a rebound. Dallas will end their 4 game homestand against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, while Philadelphia will continue their road trip with a game against the Houston Rockets.
