Metta World Peace plans on changing his name, again

Only two years after changing his name from Ron Artest, to Metta World Peace plans on changing his name once again.

World Peace, who was recently amnestied by the Los Angeles Lakers, signed with hometown team the New York Knicks.

When World Peace changed his name, many have found it to be a little ironic, due to the numerous on-court incidents he’s encountered over the years – from his flagrant foul on Brandon Knight to the nasty elbow on James Harden.

“I’m not going to legally change my name until my career is over, but we are going to do a name change,” World Peace told Clevver News. He first changed his name to Metta in 2011, because it is a Buddish word meaning loving to all.

Metta hasn’t “revealed” his new name yet, and hasn’t given anything to work with but he did say, “It’s going to be fun”.
