NBA: 3 highest-scoring games of Kemba Walker's career
Kemba Walker is one of the most underrated guards in the league today. Even though he carries the team on his back every single night, he does not get the kind of attention he deserves. He is known for his handles and has one of the nastiest step-back jumpers.
He is known for dancing on the defenders and blowing past them to collect easy buckets. He is a two-time All-Star and is the first player in the history of NBA to score 10000 points with the Charlotte Hornets. In this article, let us take a look at three of his highest-scoring games in the NBA so far.
#3 47 at Chicago Bulls, November 17, 2017
Stat line: 47 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists on 63.0 % shooting
The Charlotte Hornets did not have the kind of start they would have wanted to the season and were 5-8 when they visited Chicago for a game against the Bulls. The Bulls were in a similar situation too and were 2-10 to start the season.
In the first quarter, at the 9:16 mark, Kemba made a step-back jumper to extend the Hornets' lead to five points. With less than one minute left in the first quarter, Walker made a three-pointer in the corner to give the Hornets, a three-point lead.
However, the Bulls would fight back and Walker had to bring out his best. In the forth quarter, with 57.6 seconds remaining, the two-time All-Star made a tough three-pointer to cut the Bulls' lead to one-point.
The Hornets got one final chance and they in-bounded the ball to Walker but his layup attempt was no good and the Bulls won it, 123-120. Kemba Walker finished the game with 47 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
