NBA 2018-19: Player Ratings - Washington Wizards vs Detroit Pistons; Griffin shines, Drummond dominates, Beal impresses

The Washington Wizards visited the Detroit Pistons in a match up between two of the playoff hopefuls in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons emerged victorious with a scoreline of 121-112 after a great third quarter run. The Pistons had a 29-20 advantage in the third quarter and that proved critical in the win.

With a string of good performances in recent matches, the Pistons have now managed to reach the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference playoff standings with a 26-29 record. The Wizards drop to the 11th spot and have a 24-33 record.

Blake Griffin was again dominant for the Pistons. He finished with a near triple-double and has been the most consistent player for the Pistons this season. Blake recently got his fifth All-Star selection and the Pistons heavily rely on his offensive contribution in every game.

Bradley Beal (8/10): Despite the loss, Bradley Beal was again impressive for the Wizards. He finished with 32 points and 10 assists and was a consistent threat on the offensive end.

Trevor Ariza (8/10): Trevor Ariza has provided great veteran presence to the Wizards since his trade. He finished with 23 points on 10-14 shooting from the floor.

Bobby Portis (7/10): Booby Portis was traded at the trade deadline and he is having great impact for the Wizards since his arrival. He dropped 24 points and shot 6-10 from the 3PT line.

Jeff Green (3/10): Jeff Green struggled the entire night and tallied only 4 points. He also turned the ball over 4 times. This was a match to forget for Green.

Detroit Pistons:

Blake Griffin (9/10): Blake Griffin is the team's leading scorer and he continued his great run. He scored 31 points and fell just one rebound and one assist shy of his triple-double.

Andre Drummond (8.5/10): Andre Drummond did not get the All-Star selection this year but he continued his domination from inside. He finished with 32 points and 17 rebounds for the match.

Langston Galloway (2/10): Galloway has been starting matches for Detroit since the sale of Bullock to Los Angeles. He could not get onto the scoresheet and was 0-4 from the field in 20 minutes.

Bruce Brown Jr. (6.5/10): Brown Jr. dropped 9 points and shot 4-4 from the field. His contribution was critical for the Pistons.

Luke Kennard (7/10): Kennard provided the much needed spark from the bench. He led the bench in scoring with 15 points and shot 4-6 from the 3PT line.
