Strength plays a huge factor in the game of basketball. A strong player can help the team on the defensive end as well as the offensive end. These players could intimidate any opposition and have a great impact on their respective teams.

Examples of strong NBA players include Wilt Chamberlain and Shaquille O’Neal. These guys can easily get rebounds due to their huge size, drive quick to the basket making them unstoppable, and be immovable on defense(getting blocks).

2017 NBA All-Star Hyland DeAndre Jordan Jr. is one of the biggest men in the NBA. Standing at 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m) and weighing 120kg (265lb), Jordan spent 10 years with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he played at Center position.

Recognized for his shot blocking and rebounding skills, Jordan averages 10.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.

He is one of the most athletic centers in the league and his dunk is impossible to stop. Jordan helped the Clippers reach the second round of the playoffs in 2012, 2014 and 2015 and is their all-time leader in games played and rebounds. He is a two-time NBA Rebounding leader(2014,2015) and was selected to the NBA All Defensive team two times(2015,2016).

Jordan is known for his power and durability, he stretches and does yoga before the game. In a recent interview he said,

"I'm a big guy so I have to keep my muscles loose. So I do a lot of stretching before the game. I'll do about 10-15 minutes of yoga just to loosen up my body, get warm and get ready to play".
