NBA Action Highlights - 25th February
Check out the highlights from all the games played in the NBA today-
Kobe Bryant had 38 points to win a scoring duel with Dirk Nowitzki who finished with a season high 30, and Steve Nash helped beat his former team by getting 20 points for the first time with the Los Angeles Lakers in a 103-99 victory against the Dallas Mavericks.
Jarret Jack had 23 points and eight assists to rally the Warriors to a 100-99 victory over the Timberwolves. He’s making a solid case for sixth man of the year. Rubio had 11 assists in this one with 14 points. The Wolves had a chance to win it but Ridnour just ran ahead and rimmed out a runner which would have given the Wolves the win.
James scored 28 points and 8 assists, Dwyane Wade scored 11 of his 24 in the final five minutes – when Miami needed him most – and the Heat extended the NBA’s longest current winning streak to 11 games, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-105. The Cavs were down 18 at halftime but mounted a comeback behind CJ Miles’ outside shooting. Dion Waiters led the Cavs in scoring with 26 points. All to no avail though.
Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon, the franchise’s marquee tandem, combined for 37 points to help the Hornets snap a three-game losing streak with a 110-95 victory over the Sacramento Kings. DeMarcus Cousins added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings.
The Nets were missing Joe Johnson in this one. Zach Randolph had 16 points and 14 rebounds, Marc Gasol scored 14 points and the Grizzlies won their seventh straight game with this 76-72 win over the Nets. Deron Williams had 24 points while going 4 of 6 from downtown but it wasn’t enough.
Both teams came in with 4 games losing streaks. Anthony scored 29 points, Amare Stoudemire had a season-high 22, and the Knicks snapped their four-game losing streak by beating the Philadelphia 76ers 99-93.
Patty Mills and Kawhi Leonard scored 16 points apiece to lead six players in double figures for the Spurs who finished their nine-game road trip with a win.
Wes Matthews finished with 24 points in Portland’s 92-86 victory. Batum added 18 points. Lillard had 12. For the Celtics, Garnett added 20 points and 9 rebounds and Pierce finished with 23 in this one. The Blazers avoided their 8th straight loss with this win.
Russell Westbrook scored 23 points on 10 of 17 shooting, Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka both contributed double-doubles and the Thunder held Chicago to 72 points with this win. Durant had 19 points and 16 boards.
