NBA Box Score, 20th Jan 2019: Clippers beat Spurs, Timberwolves hold off Suns and more
It was a short but exciting day in the NBA as six teams hit the floor on Sunday evening.
Without wasting time, let me take through the NBA results for tonight.
Indiana Pacers rout Charlotte Hornets
Indiana Pacers routed the Charlotte Hornets tonight and improved to 31-15 for the season. Victor Oladipo led the team with his 21 points and seven assists on the night.
Darren Collins was just behind Oladipo in scoring, as he finished with 19 points and nine assists on the night.
For Hornets, Kemba Walker scored 23 on the night. Other than him, there were only three players in double figures.
Score: Hornets 95-120 Pacers
Los Angeles Clippers beat San Antonio Spurs
To beat Spurs at home has been quite a difficult task lately but not tonight for the Clippers. The Clippers beat the Spurs and ended a long persisting drought, improving to 25-21 for the season. Tobias Harris led the team with his 27 points, nine assists and nine rebounds on the night.
For Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Rudy Gay added another 19 from his side, but they surely were missing the services of Demar DeRozan.
Score: Clippers 103-95 Spurs
Minnesota Timberwolves beat Phoenix Suns
Derrick Rose went off for 31 points tonight with a last second game-winner to seal the win for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Karl-Anthony Towns added another 30 points and 12 rebounds to the scoring sheet.
For Suns, T.J Warren led the team with 21 points on the night. Besides him, Devin Booker and Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 18 points apiece.
Score: Suns 114-116 Wolves
