In sports, a playmaker is an offensive entity who executes plays designed to put one or more teammates in a position to score. In basketball, the players who can make passes that directly lead to baskets are considered playmakers.

A playmaker requires the ability to pass the ball perfectly, quick decision making, positioning, high basketball IQ and great vision. These guys make their team better on the offensive end. Not everyone can master the art of passing but some players are truly gifted.

In this presentation, we will take a look at the five greatest playmakers in NBA history.

LeBron James is often considered the best basketball player in the world right now and regarded by some as the greatest player of all time. He is a combination of speed, skill, and size. LeBron is great at making offensive plays for his teammates and himself.

King James is one of those playmakers who can score a lot of points as well as give a lot of assists every night. He averages more than 7 assists per game throughout his NBA career. James is the only player in NBA history to record at least 31,000 points, 8,000 rebounds, and 8,000 assists.

The three-time NBA Champion is one of the most versatile players of all time. While the opposition defense is trying to stop him, he comes up plays for his teammates. Even at the age of 34, when most players think of retirement, King James is trying to win an NBA Championship with the Lakers, where he is the undisputed star of the franchise.
