NBA on TV in India: April 11-20
Here is a preview and the schedule of the games available to watch in India, either on Sony SIX or on NBA.com/India in the next ten days. With the playoffs just around the corner, expect a whirlwind finish to the season with a lot of awards being decided in the next ten days.

The Thunder and the Warriors both feature high octane offenses. Both teams have won 7 of their last 10 games. The Thunder stand at 57-21, only half game behind the San Antonio Spurs and the Warriors are at 45-33. Both teams feature score first point guards in Russell Westbrook of the Thunder and Steph Curry of the Warriors. Westbrook averages 23.4 points with 7.5 dimes and Curry is averaging 22.5 points and 6.9 assists. Barring a hot shooting night from the Warriors with some luck, expect the Thunder to win this one.
Golden State @ L.A. Lakers

Every game featuring the Lakers is a must watch game right now. They are hanging on for their dear lives in the post-season, only holding a half game lead on the Jazz. The Jazz own the tie breaker so the Lakers need to finish with a better record and avoid a tie. The Warriors, as just mentioned, feature a run and gun offense, something which the Lakers struggle to defend against because of their age. But a cornered animal fights the hardest and no one really wants to bet against the Lakers right now.
Chicago @ Miami

The Miami Heat are scorching hot and there is hardly any team in the East which poses a challenge to them. The Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Bulls can put up a fight but winning a seven-game series against a team which went on a 27-0 run this season is a very tall order. The Heat stand at 61-16 and will be looking for revenge against the Bulls for ending their epic win streak.

This is the third Golden State match in the next ten days. Coincidence or Vivek Ranadivé’s impact? In case it’s the latter, I hope it doesn’t mean us getting to watch more of the Sacremento Kings instead of playoff bound teams. Although I’d even watch Kings vs Bobcats if it meant that somehow India is being pushed to the forefront in the NBA. The Spurs feature a meticulous, grinding machine which brutally punishes any defense which is less than perfect. They stand at 57-20 and will be looking to win the West by winning all of their remaining games.
Atlanta @ New York

The Hawks are in the 6th spot in the West at 42-36, while the Knicks are 51-26. “It’s going to be a fight all the way to the end with Indiana and we want to win our division so these guys are playing for something,” Knicks Coach Mike Woodson said. “So every game means something and it’s important that we continue to win.” There is some chance that Carmelo Anthony could actually win the MVP. He usually makes a toast of the Hawks, so expect a great performance from him in this one.
