NBA Predictions: Predicting Golden State Warriors vs Washington Wizards
The Golden State Warriors will be in Washington to take on the Wizards at the Capital One Arena. This is the second and final time this regular season that the two teams will go at each other.
When the two teams met in October, the Warriors blew out the Wizards by 22 points with Stephen Curry exploding for 51 points.
The Golden State Warriors' perspective
The Golden State Warriors are on an eight-game win streak and with DeMarcus Cousins back in the lineup, I do not see this win streak end anytime soon. Playing against a team like Washington Wizards who are without their All-Star point guard John Wall, getting a road win is not going to be a tough task for the Warriors.
The dubs' last game was against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center in which Klay Thompson exploded for 44 points on a 10-for-11 three-point shooting. Curry had a rare off-night shooting as he went 3-for-12 from the field to score only 11 points.
This will be the Warriors' third game of the five-game road trip and a win here will extend their win streak to nine games, their longest this season.
The Washington Wizards' perspective
Even though the Wizards are without John Wall, Bradley Beal has been playing at an elite level and is posting strong performances. The 2018 All-Star will be the player to watch out for the Wizards once again as they go up against the two-time defending champs.
It is important to note that the Wizards are currently on a two-game win streak and will be looking to only extend it. In their last game against the Detroit Pistons, Ariza posted a double-double and led the team to victory. He will need to have a solid game once again for the Wizards to compete against the Warriors.
How the things might unfold
The Wizards may be on a two-game win streak but playing a team with five All-Stars in the starting lineup, they have to do something extraordinary to defeat the dubs. Expect the Warriors to close this series out 2-0 via a blowout win.
