Portland Trail Blazers (27-19) vs New Orleans Pelicans (21-24), Moda Center, 10:30 pm ET

Portland Trail Blazers will host the New Orleans Pelicans tonight at the Moda Center in Portland.

Blazers are coming off an easy win against the Cavs, whereas Pelicans lost to the Warriors on Wednesday.

With that in mind, let us see how things stand for both teams tonight.

The Portland Trail Blazers' perspective

After losing a couple in a row, the Blazers had a welcome victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Wednesday.

Damian Lillard went off for 33 points for the night and dished six assists. His partner in crime, CJ McCollum added 19 points from his side. Both the guards are solid at home, and tonight we can expect them to explode again.

The Blazers are 27-19 for the season currently and are sitting on the 4th place in the Western Conference. They would be looking to improve their record further tonight and obtain some winning momentum.

The New Orleans Pelicans' perspective

The Pelicans have been inconsistent this season and currently stand at the 12th place in the Western Conference.

They gave up their lead against the Warriors in the third quarter and lost the game with a scoreline of 147-140. Stephen Curry hit seven three-pointers in the third quarter and changed the dimensions of the game entirely.

For Pelicans, Anthony Davis had 30 points and 18 rebounds. Also, Nikola Mirotic scored 29 coming off the bench. Both will be an essential factor tonight.

Pelicans need few desperate wins if they want to make something out of this season.

Injury updates

Blazers:

Moe Harkless (left knee soreness)- Questionable

Caleb Swanigan (right knee)- Questionable

Pelicans:

None Reported.

How things might unfold

The Blazers have been hot at home and will be attacking the Pelicans from the word go.

The Pelicans have been good lately, but their away record has been horrible. They can't be trusted on the road.

The Blazers are a better team at home, and that is why I am in for the Blazers tonight.
