The Chicago Bulls were 22-57 and with the regular season in its final week, the Bulls were already out of playoffs contention. With nothing to lose, Crawford went off for his first 50-points game and the Bulls registered an impressive win.

Even though Crawford was impressive in the first three quarters, his most efficient quarter was the final quarter where he dropped 24 points and brought the Bulls back into the game. However, the regulation period was not enough to decide the winner and the game went into overtime.

In overtime, with the Bulls up by three and with 1:03 remaining, Crawford delivered the dagger with a 15 foot jump shot to extend the Bulls' lead to five points. The Bulls went on to register a six point win, 114-108.
