The Denver Nuggets exceeded expectations this season by taking down the LA Clippers and reaching the Western Conference Finals. While they can wait for Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic to hit their prime in a couple of years, recent NBA trade rumors suggest that the addition of another star like the Detroit Pistons' Blake Griffin will instantly give them an edge over their Western counterparts in the race for a championship.

The Denver Nuggets' future looks promising, with young superstars Jamal Murray (23) and Nikola Jokic (25) at the helm. However, the Western Conference Finals against the LA Lakers proved that they're still far away from winning a championship. Many NBA trade rumors regarding how the Denver Nuggets can upgrade their roster in the upcoming offseason are now doing the rounds.

The Detroit Pistons might be looking to move their veterans, Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose, to rebuild with a younger core. Blake Griffin could be a great 3rd scoring option for the Denver Nuggets and could provide some variety and athleticism next to Nikola Jokic in the frontcourt.

Despite being a six-time All-Star, Griffin's value in the trade market won't be too high, and the Denver Nuggets can get him without breaking the bank. A trade package including Gary Harris and Will Barton might get the job done.

The Detroit Pistons were at the center of NBA trade rumors after failing to make the playoffs in the 2019-20 season. Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose are 30+ and are well past their prime. The Pistons will be looking to build around their younger players like Christian Wood and Luke Kennard.

Gary Harris has shown the ability to score close to 20 points in the past and can be dangerous from the 3-point line. If Blake Griffin ends up with the Denver Nuggets, Harris can be a part of the Detroit Pistons' rebuild process. In case things don't work out, Harris' contract will be expiring in a couple of years, and the Pistons can look elsewhere after that.
