NBA Trade Rumors: Saddiq Bey not made available by Detroit Pistons, will take "an offer they can't refuse" to consider it

Saddiq Bey is having a rather disappointing season with the Detroit Pistons. After playing 82 games last season and starting in all of them, the 6-foot-7 forward was moved to the bench in November 2022.

According to The Athletic, Bey is not available for trade. Despite having an inconsistent season, the Pistons are not ready to move on from the forward yet. He's only in his third year in the league and has shown potential.

The rumors have it that the Pistons may accept a great deal. However, it is very unlikely that another team will offer a valuable trade package for the third-year player.

Detroit Pistons are not willing to trade Saddiq Bey

In 43 games during the 2022-23 season, Bey has averaged 14.3 points along with a career-low 4.3 rebounds per game. While he's never been very efficient, Bey's overall shooting percentage this season is only 40.0%. He's also shooting a career-low 33.3% from long-range.

The Pistons forward averaged 15.2 points and 4.8 rebounds. Interestingly, the Pistons did not play well at all with him on the floor as his +/- rating was -12.6. Since moving to the bench, Bey's rating has improved to +1.3.

Saddiq Bey's inconsistent performances have involved him in several trade rumors. According to The Athletic, there are several teams who'd be interested in Bey's services.

"The third-year forward has had an up-and-down season and, with that, has been the subject of trade rumors as of late," James L. Edwards III wrote.

He further note:

"The interest from rival teams, per league sources, intensified when Bey was moved to the bench in November. Teams have since kept tabs on his availability."

The Athletic writer believes that the Pistons are not willing to part ways with the young forward. However, they would be willing to move him for "an offer they can't refuse." Unfortunately, there may not be many teams who'd be willing to put together a trade package for Saddiq Bey.

Bey has had several decent performances this season

Saddiq Bey opened the new year with a fantastic shot against the Golden State Warriors. With one second left in the game, the forward received the ball and hit a long-range shot to put his team up by three points and win the game.

The young player also had a 31-point performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the season.

It will be interesting to see what the Pistons do with Bey. They have until the trade deadline, which is on Feb. 9, to move him.
