NBA Trade Rumors: Kevin Love backed to make a move to the Oklahoma City Thunder
What's the rumor?
Due to the Cleveland Cavaliers' total collapse this season, Kevin Love continues to be linked with a trade away from the team.
The Cavaliers have reportedly made their entire roster available for trade, and NBA journalist, Ben Berger, is quoting an unnamed NBA executive who believes that the OKC Thunder are in a strong position to make a move for the All-Star:
'If something happens with Love this season, it's going to have to happen fast. And it's almost certainly going to have to involve a contending team that isn't afraid to take chances. Two teams that make sense on both fronts are Oklahoma City and Houston", one of the execs said'
In case you didn't know...
Love spent his first six seasons in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves, before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014.
With the team, Love won the NBA Championship in 2016, and shortly after LeBron James left in the summer, Love signed a new four-year, $120 million extension.
The heart of the matter
Kevin Love would be a huge pickup for the OKC Thunder, although the team would need to trade away the likes of Dennis Schroder, Alex Abrines and Patrick Patterson to get a deal done.
Despite this, the Thunder are in win-now mode, and Love could be a decisive signing in the franchise's quest to win a Championship.
What's next?
The Thunder will be looking to end their two-game losing streak when they take on the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have lost 10 games in a row, and they will look to end this streak tonight, as they take on the New Orleans Pelicans.
