NBA Tuesday roundup: Spurs equal Celtics record; Raptors extend winning run

The Spurs made it 40-1 on Tuesday night

Indiana Pacers 102-90 New York Knicks

Led by Paul George's 19 points on the night, the Indiana Pacers inflicted a 12-point defeat on the New York Knicks, beating them 102-90 on home turf on Tuesday night and in the process also negating the 21 points netted by Derrick Williams from the opposition.

Miami Heat 99- 93 Detroit Pistons

 

Joe Johnson netted 25 points and Dwayne Wade contributed 14 points on the night as the Miami Heat defeated the Detroit Pistons by 6 points in the Eastern Conference fixture on Tuesday night.

The pair negated the combined tally of 30 points by Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside to notch up their 20th win away from home in their conference.

Toronto Raptors 122-98 Philadelphia 76ers

 

Led by 18 points from Norman Powell and 17 from Jonas Valanciunas,the Toronto Raptors beat the Philadelphia 76ers by 24 points to extend their winning streak to 3 and also record their 12 consecutive wins to further strengthen their position in the Eastern Conference table.

Western Conference

San Antonio Spurs 122-98 Oklahoma City Thunder

In the closest game of the night, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 102-98 at the AT&T Center on Tuesday night.

Kawhi Leonard was the star on the night, netting 26 points and with some good support from Tony Parker, who contributed 20 points on the night, the Sours registered a tight win  and 40-1 at home this season and in the process, equalling the record of the Boston Celtics from the 1985-86 campaign.

As many as four players got 17 points each for the Thunder on the night, but none could come up with Leonard like performance and they fell just short in the end.

"You know, it's one of the legendary teams with Larry Bird, (Kevin) McHale and (Robert) Parrish. So it's pretty good. It's not easy to lose one game the whole season (at home), " Parker said after the game.

Memphis Grizzlies 84-110 Los Angeles Clippers

12 points each from Chris Paul and Blake Griffin took the Los Angles Clippers to a sixth consecutive win and in turn, also extended the Grizzlies losing streak to 3 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
